When I got the word from the agency that they had found me a job in the bush I was thrilled - a new adventure and something different from the normal backpacking routine. I showed all my friends in the hostel where Wilcannia was on the map. Australia being so vast, it didn't look that far away. I was very wrong!

One aspect of Agency Nursing is taking up a Rural & Remote placement. One of our travelling Irish nurses - Elaine Badrian -decided this would be something she would like to experience and she accepted a posting at Wilcannia in Far West NSW.
