Overseas Nurses

Australia is an exciting and diverse destination for a working holiday and if you are a Registered Nurse, Enrolled Nurse or experienced Assistants in Nursing. Alliance is able to offer varied and interesting work in Sydney and beyond.

Alliance Nursing Agency is based in Sydney, Australia's most exciting and cosmopolitan city. Stunning Sydney Harbour, beautiful beaches, world class cafes and restaurants and an eclectic nightlife make Sydney one of the world's most popular holiday destinations. Working as an Agency Nurse gives you the opportunity to discover this wonderful city and all it has to offer while experiencing working life in Australia. You get to choose how often and how much work you do to fit in around your leisure and travel options. Plus, if you would like to experience working in Rural and Outback New South Wales we have plenty of opportunities available to you with subsidised accommodation and travel costs.

So how do you get started?

Firstly, if you are a registered nurse in your country, you need to ensure that you qualify to register as a nurse in Australia. The Australian Nursing Council can advise on standards and competencies which must be met before you can register with the relevant state bodies. Visit their website for more information: www.anmc.org.au

Once you have met the criteria you must register with the Nurses and Midwives Board of New South Wales www.nmb.nsw.gov.au you must hold a current NSW Authority to Practice as a Registered or Enrolled Nurse in NSW. Once you have registered in one state it is then easier to register in the other states should you choose to see more of Australia. You can register prior to coming to Australia.
